Believe it or not many teams in football like to play by the book, and don't easily change their tactics (unless they concede a goal and they're bout to lose). Plus sometimes slight changes that need to be made are not so easily observed while on the pitch

There's 90 minutes in a game it's obvious when a tactic is being countered, what makes a game good is how they challenge each other and overcome it, if they don't have the ability to adapt to the opponent's tactics that's just a game of rock paper scissors not football

Well yeah that’s how it’s supposed to actually be. Bare in no mind that some coaches deliberately don’t change their style of play no matter what. If the team is used to short passing and suddenly they have to throw long balls which they haven’t practiced, then it may not go their way even if that’s the right decision to make. Of course there are a lot of things like, that’s why they’re pros can’t they play a simple long ball? And is not changing your tactic just because that’s all you know really worth not taking the risk? But football is complex like that and while we see a unit, a team, in truth there are 11 individuals out there who have their own shortcomings sometimes.

In football sometimes there are teams who will stick with their tactics even if they don't work in the initial stages of the game. Musashino are known for being a high press team, so it will obviously shake up Esperion that they were able to change their style of play so quickly and effectively.

It's because they're known to be a high pressing team that they obviously know the weakness of their tactic, it's obvious they would have counter tactic to counter the team that exploits their weakness

Like I said, that's not always the case. Some coaches prefer their team to stick to their main tactics even if the opposition is using a style to counter it, because another system might not suit his players (or he's just stubborn af).

Every time Tsukishima spoke it felt like he was raising a flag for Esperion lol, like I just wanted him to stop speaking so I'm glad Date told him that he shouldn't play the game relying on paper. If it was reliable in the first place, Esperion wouldn't have been lost all those games like they have.

Lol Takeshima really shaved his hair off, at least it cheered the team up and I hope it has given him a psychological boost. I liked how he was looking back on the extra training and it's gotten him to learn more about his teammates and himself, it seems the way he was separating soccer and his private life might have not worked to his favor but if he finds a better balance that'd be beneficial for everyone.

Togashi is really coming in for the saves this episode, he's been able to prevent Kaneda from scoring. It was also nice to see Kuroda being able to steal the ball from Kaneda but damn was Kaneda so blood thirsting coming after the ball lol. It's too bad Musashino got the first goal, it's not good to let momentum be on their side but there's still much time left so I hope Esperion are able to do something next episode.
